This media training course is aimed at giving participants practical advice on how to promote themselves and their organisation through the print media. The workshop  is designed to give participants a real insight into the way the media works, exactly what journalists are looking for in a press release and practical experience of writing a press release.

A workshop with plenty of 'hands-on' experience and exercises covering:

  • Press Release Writing Techniques
  • Understanding what makes a good story
  • Conveying key messages
  • Creative quotes
  • Clever photo ideas
  • Common Press Release errors

This training is appropriate for senior and middle management executives / communication staff.

Duration : Half a Day
Participants : Course maximum of 8 people.

The Art of the Press Release will be delivered by Malachi O'Doherty, a well known author, journalist and broadcaster and Alan Morton, a leading PR and Media Consultant based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Both trainers have a student-centered approach that builds confidence and encourages student participation and interaction. By the end of the workshop students will know how to write an effective Press Release that will generate tons of free publicity.
